DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY - CAMERA OPERATOR

In 2016, Casey shot his first feature film, STEP, about the senior year of a girls' high-school step team in inner-city Baltimore. It won the Special Jury Award for Inspirational Filmmaking at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival before being picked up by Fox Searchlight Pictures for theatrical distribution. In its review of the film, Variety praised Casey's "deft camerawork." After being officially selected at the 2018 Seattle International Film Festival, Casey’s second feature length documentary, Hulu’s Ballet Now, followed an ambitious New York Ballet prima ballerina. Since then, he also lent his cinematography talents to Between Me and My Mind, a 2019 rock doc about Phish frontman Trey Anastasio, and the 2020 Showtime feature documentary, Bad Hombres. His third feature film as Director of Photography, Hood River, was slated to make its premiere at the 2020 SXSW Film Festival.
